High Voltage Monitoring Solutions
Sparks Instruments offer online and offline monitoring solutions that provide analysis and diagnostic informmation regarding the health of your turbo generator. This allows users to reliably predict and prevent machine faults and schedule maintenance and downtime accordingly.

1. PARTIAL DISCHARGE
Partial discharges are electric current pulses caused by stresses that weaken the winding insulation. They are not the source of winding insulation degradation, but they are a detectable result.
2. MANETIC FLUX
Rotor magnetic flux fluctuations are the result of degradation of the winding insulation caused by installation defects, contamination, load balancing and thermal aging.
3. SHAFT VOLTAGE /
SHAFT CURRENT
High levels of voltage on the generator shaft and/or high levels of current on the generator shaft is an indication of poor grounding shaft performance
4. VIBRATION
Insulating material can reduce or expand over time resulting in increased end-winding movement that can cause serious ancillary damage.
